About us

Advanced Therapy and Performance was founded by Dr. Lucian Boar, PT, DPT in 2020 in order to help satisfy a need within the Fort Wayne area by providing one-on-one physical therapy services to active individuals and various athletes. Dr. Lucian received his undergraduate degree in Health Science/Pre-Physical Therapy from Oakland University and then later on graduated from Trine University with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. While completing his DPT, he obtained post-graduate certifications in Spinal Manipulative Therapy, Dry Needling from the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy, as well as Fellowship status through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy (AAMT). Dr. Lucian also received mentorship and specialized training that focused on differential diagnosis and treatment of complex musculoskeletal and neuromuscular disorders, specifically involving those of the spine and back, TMJ dysfunction, and headaches. Dr. Lucian is also a CrossFit coach here in Fort Wayne, IN. He is able to help individuals improve their overall fitness levels and performance while staying pain-free, especially after experiencing pain himself from back surgery in 2015, by combining his knowledge of strength training, Olympic weightlifting, and gymnastic skills with his physical therapy expertise.
